National franchises tend to out sell local franchise by an over 3 to 1 margin.
Why? Brand recognition is the number 1 reason. National brands can also offer many more tools to improve your market presence.
National brands have the time and resources to continually develop new marketing and agent tools to assist in capturing market share. Many of the buyers in the resort and retirement areas of Mexico are from the US and Canada and national brands are known. With the national brand there is also a higher expectation of service and trust.
Are there differences between National Brands?
Absolutely. Some national companies sell areas as small as 1 square mile and franchises find themselves in competition with the same brand just down the street. Many national companies charge a purchase fee for an area and then charge again every 5 years when the franchise is renewed. Still others give some startup information and then rely on the franchise to take it from there.
We don’t do any of these things. Our franchises have large areas, sometimes encompassing an entire city and sometimes even an entire state. Our franchises do not pay again when it comes time to renew their contract each five years and our franchises have ongoing proactive support from us here in Mexico and from our International counterparts in the US. Because of our large protected areas our franchises can work as a team to assist each other in best practices thus adding to what we already bring on a national level. There are a number of tools for agents on the international site and we work with a trainer in each office to understand the use of those tools.
